Safety
What a scam attempt looks like and what stops it. The short rule: pay through the order.
The signs that keep repeating
- They ask you to pay „directly, it's simpler” — by transfer, by app, by gift card. That is the request to give up your protection, however it's phrased.
- They rush you. „I have two other buyers, send now.” The rush is the tool, not the context.
- The price is far below market for a sought-after item.
- They want to continue elsewhere, on WhatsApp or email, „because this doesn't work well”.
- They send you a link to a page that looks like ours and asks for your password or card details.
What actually protects you
The order. As long as the payment goes through the platform, the money sits with us until you confirm delivery, and if something is wrong you have 48 hours to open a claim. Outside the order, we have nothing to hold and nothing to give back.
The on-platform conversation. It stays written and a moderator can read it if it comes to a dispute. An agreement made over the phone exists for nobody else.
Your account
- Turn on two-step verification in Settings → Security. It's the largest gain for the smallest effort.
- Don't reuse the same password here and on your email. If one leaks, both leak.
- Nobody from us will ever call you to ask for your password or an SMS code. Never, under no circumstances.
- Check the address in your browser bar before typing your password.
For in-person handovers
- Pick a public place, in daylight. A supermarket car park beats a stairwell.
- Tell someone where you're going.
- Check the item before giving the confirmation code — the code is the proof you received what you should.
- For large sums, meet at a bank branch.
